The 2002/96/EC Waste Electrical and Electronic (WEEE) regulations 2006 came into force in the UK in 2007.

The WEEE regulations aim to improve recycling, reuse and recovery of WEEE and encourage the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment in an environmentally friendly manner.

Any company that imports, rebrands or manufactures electrical or electronic equipment (which is within scope of the WEEE directive) into the UK is responsible for that products correct and environmental disposal at the end of the products life.

Importers, rebranders and manufactures

Do not disposeObligated products that are within scope of the WEEE directive will be marked with a crossed out wheelie bin symbol. These products must not be disposed of with other commercial waste.

Company Take Back Policy

Obligated WEEE

Taylor Dynamics is responsible for the correct environmental disposal of all of its own branded products which are classed as within scope of the directive and which were sold after 13th August 2005 when they become waste.

Any Taylor Dynamics obligated WEEE can be sent to Taylor Dynamics (at senders cost) to be correctly and environmentally disposed of.

Historic WEEE

Taylor Dynamics will also correctly and environmentally dispose of any WEEE (within scope) which has been placed on the market prior to 13th August 2005, whether it is a Taylor Dynamics branded product or another manufactures product if a 'like for like' purchase is made.
A 'like for like' purchase is where a new item is purchased in exchange of a 'similar' item which is not classed as obligated WEEE.

Non obligated WEEE

WEEE that is either not within scope or that has been sold prior to 13th August 2005.

It is the end users responsibility to correctly and environmentally disposed of any non obligated WEEE at an Authorised Treatment Facility.

WEEE Terms and Conditions

All Taylor Dynamics products are sold as B2B and classed as Category 9 (Measurement and Control equipment) as defined by the WEEE regulations.

Taylor Dynamics is only responsible for its own branded or imported obligated WEEE.
Taylor Dynamics obligated products have a unique identifier, which includes the Taylor Dynamics logo, crossed out wheelie bin and an Article number.

Any removal or tampering of this identifier may invalidate any warranty and obligation of WEEE.

Any other WEEE that has not been branded or imported by Taylor Dynamics is the responsibility of that products 'producer' (importer) and as such, they should be contacted to arrange recovery.
